‌Mechanical water meters are mainly composed of the following parts‌:

‌Casing‌: used to protect internal components, usually made of cast iron, copper alloy or plastic, with certain strength and corrosion resistance, able to withstand the water pressure in the pipe‌.
‌Impeller‌: The impeller is the core part of the mechanical water meter, consisting of a set of rotating impellers and counters. When water flows through the impeller, it drives it to rotate, thereby measuring the water consumption‌.
‌Head‌: The head displays the reading of the water meter, usually including an indicating mechanism, such as a pointer or digital display‌.
‌Sealing ring and glass cover‌: These parts ensure that the water in the case will not leak out, while protecting the internal mechanical components from external influences‌.
‌Water filter‌: The water filter can prevent impurities such as rust, hemp, and iron filings from entering the water meter movement, avoiding water meter failure‌.
Working principle of mechanical water meter: When water flows through the water meter, the power of the water flow causes the impeller to rotate. The rotation of the impeller drives the counter or indicator mechanism to display the water consumption through the transmission mechanism. This structure is simple and reliable, and is suitable for various civil and industrial water metering.
